Cruise Canada has the largest vehicle fleet in the country with around 1,500 vehicles available to hire so it’s guaranteed that you’ll find something suited to you.
They also have a fantastic rental package as additional driver fees, insurance, VAT, and vehicle preparation fees are all included with the price.
However, one of the highlights of choosing Cruise Canada is that you can drive your RV into the United States if you’re looking to extend your road trip.
This makes them a fantastic option no matter whether you're looking to do a road trip in Quebec or Alaska!
There are four types of motorhome available to hire with Cruise Canada; the C19, C21, C25, and the C30.
They differ in size and amenities, but no matter which vehicle you choose it will come with a fridge, oven, shower, and toilet.
All the motorhomes at Cruise Canada also come with interior heating which is needed if you’re road-tripping Canada during the winter.
Meridian RV is an RV dealer in Port Coquitlam, BC. Not only do they sell RVs, but they also offer rentals, with their fleet consisting of 2023 models.
This company knows what it’s talking about when it comes to motorhomes and it also offers some great rental specials (including early-bird and long-term rental deals).

Even better, no matter which rental vehicle you choose you’ll be getting a camper that’s under three years old.
As Fraserway offers such a variety of vehicles, the amenities will differ with each rental. Generally, though, your RV will come with solar panels and an awning.
When it comes to renting an RV in Canada, there are a couple of factors that will affect the price. This includes the age of the driver, the duration of your trip, and the class of your RV.
Generally, though, you’re looking to pay between $70-$140 for a small campervan, and between $150-$250 per day for a large RV.
Car rentals in Canada tend to be much cheaper, but you'll also need to account for accommodation costs.
In most cases you don’t need a special licence to drive an RV, an international licence is just fine.
However, if you’re planning to rent an RV that weighs over 26,000 pounds, is a Class A with no airbrake, or carries more than 16 people - extra requirements are needed!
In Canada, you need to be 21 years of age to rent an RV, and you must have had your driving licence for at least a year. You’ll also have to pay a young driver's surcharge.
Some companies will require you to be 25 or over, so it’s best to check the company's terms and conditions before you book.

This will all depend on whether the company has depot locations in America, as well as Canada. Companies that offer this include Cruise Canada and CanaDream, and some RV owners on sites like Outdoorsy will also allow this.
The situation on camping anywhere in Canada is a bit hazy! Generally, the only legal place to park up overnight with an RV is on a campground, but don’t worry there are plenty of them.
Free wild camping is only available for Canadian residents and isn’t really suitable for RVs as some of the spots aren’t vehicle accessible.
