Scotland is one of the world’s most romantic destinations, it’s literally like walking into a fairytale story.

It’s a romantic paradise and there is something to suit every type of couple!
But with so many amazing places to visit in Scotland, it’s hard narrowing just where to stay!
In this guide, we are going to take you through the most romantic hotels Scotland has to offer and some tips to help you plan that romantic Scotland getaway!
This is actually one of the sweetest Airbnb's I’ve come across.
Not only is romance in the name, but it oozes romantic vibes throughout the property.
These little cabins are set in the beautiful Cairngorms National Park (an extremely beautiful area of Scotland) and each holds a walk in shower room and kitchen area with a microwave, fridge, kettle & coffee machine.
You even have your own pirate decking area with your very own “love tub”, i.e jacuzzi, to enjoy a romantic date with a glass of bubbly! Perfection.

Also, if you’re looking for an extra special stay, you can upgrade to the castle view room which gives you views of Edinburgh castle straight from your spacious room!

It’s charming, and it’s all yours!
No need to share with other guests, you get to have this entire medieval castle all to yourselves.

No spot is nicer than the Glenfinnan Viaduct, both romantic, and inspiring for you Harry Potter fans out there!
You should time your visit for the Jacobite crossing and enjoy a magical moment together.
Treat each other to a ride on one of the world’s most beautiful train rides.
Book your 1st class tickets on the Jacobite train ride, and if you’re feeling extra romantic, book yourself an afternoon tea and bottle of champagne (like we did!).

This is one of Scotland’s most beautiful castles, and it's a popular wedding destination in Scotland, so if you need to drop hints to your partner, this is the place to do it!
Other than that, it’s a beautiful place to take a romantic stroll and grab a bite to eat.

Loch Lomond is one of the most beautiful lochs in Scotland and it’s surrounded by beautiful views, mountains and forestry!
You can take a romantic cruise on the river, followed by a stroll around the lake afterwards.
If you’re the adventurous type, you can even take the challenge of hiking Ben Lomond together (the highest peak in Loch Lomond!).
Staying on the Isle of Skye almost guarantees a romantic experience! But my favourite place for romance is the Fairy Glen.
There’s just something so magical about this place.
And if you visit early in the morning to catch sunrise, then the chances are, it’ll be just you, your partner and the sheep sitting on the peaks enjoying a beautiful sunrise. Read more tips from our visit here.
