Well, I’ve spent 2 months in Bali, travelling the entire island; visiting the most popular regions such as Kuta & Ubud, as well as discovering many of the lesser-known regions.

If you want one of the most epic views in all of Bali, then Villa Asmara is where you need to stay! Located in the north west coast of Bali, this epic villa actually faces the island of Java and when the sky is clear, you can see the amazing volcanoes on the other side.
This makes for some epic sunrises and sunsets. Not only that, the swimming pool here is vast, private and it’s an infinity pool!
The open plan nature of the villa gives you a spacious, yet homey vibe and there is even an on-site spa and Yoga Pavilion. An on-site restaurant will also provide you with delicious meals throughout the day.
This is also a fantastic place to go diving in Bali and an instructor is on-site to help! This place is super-great value for what you get.

Munduk Moding is another quite famous villa in Bali and it’s reputation lives up to the elegance and luxury it provides.
It’s actually a resort that you can visit during the day, or you can stay in one of the many beautiful rooms. BUT, they also offer one of the most amazing private pool villas in Bali I’ve seen. This is such a cool destination.
Choose the one bedroom villa with a hot tub and you’ll be getting a very large swimming pool AND a hot tub, beautifully decorated rooms and seating areas AND you get a private butler service, and a free daily minibar.
You’ll also be able to make use of the famous infinity pool in the main area and dine at their high quality restaurant. Munduk is a famous region for it’s coffee and this villa is actually on a coffee plantation too!
Oh, you’ll also get epic views of Java island on a clear day too….perfection!

Located in the northern area of Bali, which is much quieter and more beautiful (in my humble opinion), you're only a 25 minute drive from central Lovina.

These beautiful private pool villas in Seminyak perfectly balance price and quality. The villa itself is spacious, air conditioned and the swimming pool is very big for two people!
At Villa Singgah, you can even arrange a floating breakfast in your swimming pool if you’re heart desires and room service is available.
This villa is located just a 5 minute walk from Double Six beach which is Seminyak's best beach for sunset, lined with colourful umbrellas and too much choice when it comes to cocktails!
This is a great choice if you want to be in the heart of the action, but still retain luxury in a fabulous villa.

As one half of a travelling couple myself, this romantic villa really appeals to me! Romance is right there in the name.
Berry Amour oozes luxury with features such as, a personal 24 hour butler service, free shuttle to Seminyak, 24 hour room service and more.
This villa is located just 2 minutes from Petitgent Beach, and all the villas on offer boast a unique romantic themed vibe with private hot tubs and private pools.
Actually, these villas in Seminyak operate a no children policy, and only 2 adults to one room to really ensure the romantic vibe is kept!

Located only 5 minutes from wonderful Echo beach, this stunning private pool villa in Bali is the PERFECT set up for a group of friends wanting to be in the heart of the action.
This is everything you'd expect from a Bali villa and it can sleep up to 8 people.

There are lots of resorts in Ubud but I think if you want a romantic honeymoon experience, then an Ubud private pool villa is definitely the way to go.

This place oozes beauty and is totally unique. It’s in the name: antique. The vibes throughout the whole villa are traditional and authentic.
The private swimming pool is large and beautifully designed. The rooms are spacious and you can make use of the free daily shuttle into Ubud centre each day. This is a great villa for those looking for a peaceful and unique stay in Bali.

Your one bedroom villa is large, open plan, beautiful and includes a fabulous outdoor shower. This villa features a private pool, dining and seating areas. So there you have it, my guide on the best private pool villas Bali has to offer. With so many amazing places to visit in Bali, you might find you’re struggling to decide on what area to stay in Bali, I’ll summarize the benefits of each area, and who I think it’s most suitable for below.
They aren’t ALL the areas in Bali you can stay, but they are the most popular. But the great thing about Bali is that, regardless of where you stay, you can easily get to other areas in a relatively short amount of time since the island is small. Just rent a moped or a driver and you’ll be able to discover everything.
I won’t lie to you, Bali is one of those places that you’ll want to stay forever! But if you’ve only got a limited amount of time, then you’ll be happy to hear that you can visit great places in Bali in just a week, 10 days and 2 weeks. It all depends on what you want.
If you’re taking it slow and only visiting one area with a couple of day trips, then 1 week is great, but if you want to do the entire island, then I suggest two weeks!
