I can honestly say, hand on heart, that Bohol is one of the best islands anywhere in The Philippines, and one you simply must fit into your travel itinerary.
All around the island you can discover sandy white beaches and crystal blue oceans, and just a little further out you have snorkelling spots, dolphins and even a sandbar.
With so much natural beauty, it’s no surprise Bohol is home to many of the most beautiful things to see in The Philippines.

With three swimming pools and 120 metres of beachfront, you will have no shortage of spots to sun, swim, and lounge. This place has plenty of dining options: Two super cool cafes, one fine dining restaurant for the fancy stuff, and three well-placed pool bars.
You don’t have to worry about going thirsty or hungry, here. The hotel provides sunbeds and umbrellas for guests on the powdery white sand of Alona Beach. Order a cocktail or fresh fruit juice, and watch the sun set on the blue waters of the Bohol Sea. You may never want to leave this little slice of paradise.

Kids want to have fun, too. This cozy Bohol boutique hotel is great place to make that happen. Set in the middle of private gardens and surrounded by plenty of trees, the Bohol Dreamcatcher is a family-vacation oasis. The resort offers babysitting services and a children’s play area, and there’s a lounging area and hammocks for the big kids, too.
The best part? A two-story slide from the top floor. Adults won’t be judged if they decide not to take the stairs. The friendly staff is available to organize a family BBQ or local activities like snorkeling, diving, and sightseeing. But don’t let the jungle-like surroundings fool you.

The Bohol Beach Club has so much to offer. Beautifully landscaped grounds, traditional Filipino and international food choices, and the velvety soft white sand of Dumaluan Beach make this dream location one of the best places to stay in Bohol. Even though you are in a tropical paradise, you still have access to modern luxuries like free WiFi throughout the property.
Perfect for stopping to snap and post those gorgeous Instagramable Bohol sunsets; and room service to do the latter from your own private balcony. Balicasag, one of the Philippine’s most famous dive sites, is located just outside of Panglao Bay. The area is also popular for water sports like kayaking and canoeing. If you’re more of a land lover, rent a bicycle or scooter to explore the area.
Relax at the swimming pool, take in a sunset on the back lawn behind the hotel, or have a late breakfast or leisurely lunch at the on-site restaurant. If you’re looking for accommodation in Panglao that provides a room with a view, this is the one.

But the staff takes their namesake to heart. This beautiful resort is situated between Bohol-Panglao International Airport and Bohol’s famous southern beaches.
The Ohana’s guest rooms are some of the most well-thought out rooms in Bohol. Spacious, bright airy spaces are fitted with modern touches like flat-screen TVs, design-inspired bathroom fixtures, AC, and electric kettles. With all of these options available, it may be hard to choose where to stay in Bohol. Bohol Garden Homes may be just your place. Nestled in the middle of a mini-jungle, Bohol Garden Homes offer many different room options, including a traditional cottage with AC named after the family’s beloved goat, Olec.
As soon as you step foot onto this property, your taken care of. Staff will help you make arrangements to visit local attractions: Chocolate Hills, Pangas Falls, the furry little Tarsiers, or a visit to the idyllic white sand beach, Libaong. The family grows many of their own fruits and vegetables. Enjoy fresh papaya from the tree with your continental or Asian breakfast.
Rooms are simple but comfortable. You can choose a room with AC or fan. Some contain microwaves and fridges. Ask upon booking. WiFi is available, and you can meet the other guests in the shared lounge. When choosing your accommodation in Panglao, you can’t go wrong with this family-run homestay.

Who hasn’t dreamed of trading in their busy life for a bamboo hut on a beach and falling asleep to the sounds of crashing waves? Steffi’s place makes this dream a reality. Welcome to Bohol budget hotels best kept secret.
Cheap accommodation in Bohol may be basic, but you don’t have to give up your experience. The bamboo huts are simple structures equipped with fans and mosquito nets. However, upon waking, step off of your patio to the morning sea and sun. and do you hear that? Neither do I. Welcome to your quiet bamboo-beach-hut dream.
Don’t worry though. You don’t have to give up all modern luxuries. Free WiFi is available in the common area, and you can rent a motorbike from the office staff to scoot around the area. Use the communal kitchen to whip up a breakfast Robinson Crusoe would be proud of.

I just love a place that comes with a story. Don’t you? Welcome to Unk’s House Homestay. This cozy accommodation is more than a resort or hotel. It’s a home. Daniel and Emma paid homage to Daniel’s dear Uncle who had come to stay with them – Hence, Unk’s House Homestay.
The shared lounge and garden are available for hanging out and trading Bohol adventure stories. Guests enjoy a continental breakfast and use of the shared kitchen. All rooms have AC and WiFi. The friendly staff and owner will help you with your excursion requests.
Unk’s is a proper Bohol homestay. You have on-on-one contact with the owner, and they will treat you like their own family. What this property lacks in big-resort perks is more than made up in the attention to service and their guest’s comfort. You really are home during your holiday. Come and meet the extended family you never knew you had in Bohol.

Bohol has no shortage of things to do. First and foremost, Let’s talk coffee. Finding a decent cup of coffee in the Philippines has proved challenging. But if you need a cup of Joe, try Bo’s. Great coffee at a decent price.

As you can clearly see, Bohol really does have something for everyone.
