We’re very excited to review the GlocalMe Mini Turbo.
While working remotely and running a blog from a campervan, having proper WiFi access is VERY important.
And having consistent internet access at the touch of a button is a pretty tall order.
With that in mind, I’m happy to say that the GlocalMe Mini Turbo has risen to the occasion, and been a SOLID provider of mobile internet access while living and working on the road!
The GlocalMe Mini Turbo is a mobile internet hotspot that works by picking up signals from cell towers in over 140 countries.
It can support all the major 4G service providers too, to ensure you get the best internet connection possible.
The mini turbo operates off of GlocalMe’s unique CloudSIM technology. This means the hotspot works without a sim card!
Instead of purchasing a SIM card, you purchase data plans as needed from GlocalMe.
However, if you want to insert a SIM card and enjoy a local data plan, you still can, and it’s really nice to have the option.
The GlocalMe Mini Turbo is a mobile hotspot that is loaded with special features! Some of the things we love about it include:
The GlocalMe data plans are useful and unique in that they allow you to purchase data as needed.
For example, if you’re going on a one week trip somewhere and know that you’ll need reliable internet access, you can purchase data for your GlocalMe for just one week.
Or, if you’re going on a three month backpacking trip and know you’ll want internet access the entire time, you can go ahead and purchase a three month data plan.
The data plans may seem a little expensive at first, but when you factor in the convenience factor, it’s well worth the price.
Plus, the plans get cheaper the more days you buy.
And, it’s much more convenient and cost-effective than paying for roaming fees on a mobile phone.
Once you buy a data plan for your GlocalMe, it usually takes only 2-3 minutes for the mobile hotspot to register the plan and begin working.
On occasion it’s taken a little longer, but even then it was less than 10 minutes, and this has only happened 2-3 times with the device.
All in all, I’ve been very happy with how quickly the device recognizes a data plan and starts working.

Once you’ve purchased a data plan, it’s as simple as turning the device on and connecting to it with your mobile devices.
I was able to get the GlocalMe up and running in under ten minutes when I first received it.
Not to mention, it was already fully charged when I received it!
The internet speed from the GlocalMe Mini Turbo is impressively fast.
Of course it depends a little on where you are, but the internet speed provided by the GlocalMe Mini Turbo is more than fast enough to stream videos, download, and work on our website.
We’ve been pretty impressed so far with GlocalMe’s ability to pick up signals- even in areas where we couldn’t find any data on our cell phones, the Mini Turbo managed to pick up signal, which is great.
GlocalMe uses a technology called HyperConn Lite, which is great at selecting the fastest WiFI networks for our mobile hotspot to grab onto.
Overall, we’re quite pleased with the internet speeds provided by the GlocalMe Mini Turbo!
Even in remote locations from the van we’ve had solid internet access, which is truly a game changer.
One of the things I love the most about the Mini Turbo is its size.
This device is super small- it can fit in your pocket!
It has a 2.4” touchscreen, and it’s super easy to operate.

While the Mini Turbo is pretty well priced already, it’s a great deal for couples or groups of friends traveling together.
With the option to add ten different connections to it, the GlocalMe Mini Turbo could save groups of friends or families traveling together a FORTUNE in roaming charges.
