When you dream big and travel far — Spain should never be a data-worry. Whether you're wandering the streets of Barcelona, sipping café con leche in Madrid, or island-hopping in the Balearics — the right eSIM means you stay online without the roaming horror stories.
Here are the best eSIMs for Spain right now, with a heavy spotlight on why I love Holafly above all, plus a few other providers offering solid alternatives, each with their own strengths (and trade-offs).
Why should you listen to me when it comes to eSIMs?
I've been using them for almost 4 years now, and I've used them worldwide!
All the eSIMs I've mentioned below are eSIMs I have personally used!
So I know what makes a good and a bad eSIM!
Let's get into it...
I’ve been using Holafly eSIMs for over 3 years, and every time I use them, they get better!
They’re always offering fantastic value for data, and Spain is no exception.
Their eSIM for Spain offers unlimited data at 4G/5G speeds, with installation literally by QR code, manual installation, or with a One-Button Install for iOS 17.4 or above (no fiddling with physical SIMs, no waiting around).
Once you land, you turn on the eSIM, activate data roaming, and you’re good to go. For travellers who don’t want to waste time setting up mobile connections — this is a game-changer
Because you're on local Spanish networks (Orange/ Movistar / Vodafone España / Yoigo), coverage tends to be stable across cities, countryside or even islands.
Holafly also gives flexibility: you can pick how long you need the eSIM — whether you’re visiting for a weekend jaunt, a two-week holiday, or staying months.
If you want to hop across Europe (not just Spain): Holafly’s Europe-wide plan works beautifully — one regional eSIM for multiple countries.
Let’s look at some of the great deals for Spain.
A one day unlimited plan is less than £4 (£3.79), but what I love about Holafly too is that the data cost actually becomes much better the more days you do!
So let’s say we’re heading on a city break to Barcelona. A typical city break is 3 nights, 4 days.

£3.25 a day for unlimited data is EXCELLENT pricing.
And for a week it’s £24 and two weeks is £38 at just £2.71 a day!
And that’s without using my 5% discount!
My verdict: for most travellers — whether you’re backpacking, city-hopping, or living temporarily abroad — Holafly delivers the most hassle-free, reliable and flexible eSIM for Spain.
I think it’s worth mentioning Holafly’s European eSIM!

If Spain is just one stop on a longer European route — or you just want the freedom to wander — Holafly’s Europe-wide eSIM plan is gold.
With this plan you get unlimited data at 4G/5G across multiple European countries (33 including Spain). Set up is still as seamless as the Spain-only version.
It’s especially useful for travellers planning multi-country trips — no need to swap SIMs, buy local cards, or stress about roaming. Just one eSIM, endless exploring.
If you care about simplicity, flexibility, and staying connected across borders — this is a no-brainer.
Pricing is also very good!
For a 2 week trip it’s still £38 and if you’re doing a full month of European summer adventuring, then it works out at £61 for 31 days! Less than £2 a day for UNLIMITED data. You can enjoy your trip, stress free that’ll you’ll always be able to stay connected.
If for any reason Holafly isn’t a perfect fit for your trip — maybe you prefer a different interface — there are a few other providers offering eSIMs for Spain.
Here are four to check out: Simovo, Maya Mobile, and Roamless.
If you’re looking for flexibility and zero fuss with eSIMs — especially useful for digital nomads, remote workers or frequent travellers — SIMOVO should be on your radar.
They’re one of the newer players in the travel-eSIM scene, but they’re backed by an established telecom firm and have quickly built a solid reputation.
When it comes to Spanish eSIMs, they're got a lot to offer, for a great price.

Durations start from 7 days, all the way up to 180 days (50GB for £33 is not bad for that duration!)
Personally, if I was heading off on a holiday to Spain for a couple of weeks, I'd opt for 5GB for £5. It would be enough to keep me connected in between WiFi connections, and it's excellent value.
But, if you're thinking to yourself, I need much more data, then you'll be pleased to hear they also offer an unlimited Spain eSIM.
You can get 500MB or 1GB per day for £1 & 2 GB per day for £2, and you can choose up to 14 days.
So say you think you're going to use around 2GB per day, then it would cost you £21 for 2 weeks as the pricing gets better the longer you opt for!
It's also worth mentoning that they have a Europe eSIM plan too, which covers 40+ European countries (including Spain), so if you're planning on dipping into any other neighbouring countries on your trip, then it's worth a look.
They also offer unlimited data for their Europe eSIMs, but packages in general start at £3!

Maya Mobile has also been another favourite of mine, if I’m not looking for the unlimited data that Holafly offers and they have a range of eSIMs for Spain (and many other countries) with both prepaid and “unlimited-style” plans. Their model gives users options depending on how much data they expect to use.
You can sign up online, activate via QR code, and get connected quickly. Pricing is good with a Spanish eSIM starting at around $3.99 for a lower data plan & for their unlimited plans, they aren’t truly unlimited, but you can choose between 3 GB of high-speed data, which is cheaper or 5 GB of high-speed data, which is more expensive.
By default, after you exceed that high-speed cap the speed may be throttled for the rest of the day.

Roamless offers a “global eSIM” service — you buy an eSIM that works in many countries (Spain included) and connect via their app. You don’t necessarily commit to a fixed data package: instead they offer a “pay-as-you-go” model or you can top up credits on demand.
This makes them a flexible option, especially for travellers who maybe bounce between countries, or don’t want to commit to a fixed data plan they might not fully use.

Soovia is another eSIM provider that aims to be an alternative to mainstream global eSIM brands. They’re one of the newer kids on the block, and I find their pricing competitive, and importantly, their app and website clean and easy to use. Plus they allow hot spotting. They offer coverage in Spain (among other countries), promising travellers a way to stay connected without roaming drama.
If you want reliable, unlimited data, easy setup, and peace of mind — no contest: go for Holafly. If your trip is part of a multi-country European adventure, then Holafly Europe-wide eSIM is a brilliant, stress-free choice.
I mean, it’s really hard to beat the price, value and unlimitedness of a Holafly eSIM!
Luckily — if your phone is relatively recent, chances are very high it supports eSIM. Major brands have broadly embraced eSIM technology by now.
But Holafly has a compatibility checker for your phone that you can check here.
Here’s a breakdown:
Pro tip: make sure your phone is unlocked (not locked to a carrier) — that’s often required for an international travel eSIM to work properly.
If you want to simply connect to the internet without having to worry about using “too much” data, or whether you’re able to share that reel on Instagram, then go for a Holafly eSIM for your Spanish adventures.
