Relax and unwind in your very own wooden eco-lodge, situated within the trees and overlooking the impressive volcanoes of the island. This eco-friendly resort prides itself on running solely off solar power but this does not mean second rate service – quite the opposite in fact.
At Totoco, you are welcome to use the outdoor pool, restaurant, free WiFi, terrace and hammocks, to increase the enjoyment of your stay. With food of a local and international variety, all needs are catered for.
There is plenty to do nearby as you are just 1.2 miles away from Volcano Maderas, 0.7 miles from Nicaragua Lake itself and 4.5 miles from Playa Santo Domingo which is the closest beach. In our opinion, this is definitely one of the top hotels in Ometepe and should not be missed.

This traditional and thoroughly charming approach to staying in an Ometepe guest house gives guests a real sense of peace. With wood, trees and nature surrounding you, you will be able to re-centre yourself throughout your stay here.
Though it does have a rustic feel, there are all the mod cons you could need here at Selvista Guesthouse, such as an honesty bar, free WiFi and private outdoor showers. Be sure to book a luxury room if you know that hot water is a necessity for you, but anyone is able to use the gardens, kitchen and the food delivery service, as and when they please.
Located 19.3 miles from Moyogalpa, this is a jungle based hotel like no other, with plenty of extra-curricular activities for you to take advantage of during your stay, such as coffee tours, bike rental and volcano hiking.

Sitting on the beach itself is the suitably named Xalli Beach Hotel, where the white sand and the idyllic blue sea can be seen from your room. Located centrally between Santo Domingo and Santa Cruz, you can stay in this clean and well equipped hotel which many solo travellers consider to be the best accommodation in Ometepe and Altagracia.

Just 9.3 miles from Volcano Concepción is what we consider to be one of the best hotels in Ometepe, or more specifically, the Moyogalpa region, due to its location. It has its own on-site restaurant remaining open for 16 hours each day.
Guests are permitted to use the private garden, car park and shared lounge facilities during their stay. Use the tour desk to arrange daily activities externally to the hotel, or choose to participate in activities within hotel grounds, such as milking cows or horse riding.
Get private time and quality social time in equal amounts here, flitting between your own private terrace and the shared lounge. Though it is easy to find your way back to your room at the end of a long day, as your accommodation is a bright and striking colour to help guide your way home.

Ometepe budget hotels don’t get much more highly rated than this one. With its striking blue Moorish tile flooring and bright decorative artwork, you will immediately feel welcome here.
The real selling point of this accommodation in Ometepe is that it enables solo travellers to feel integrated with other travellers, as staying here will involve being one of six in a dorm room. There are plenty of extra facilities on offer, including bike hire, free WiFi and access to the private gardens or sun terrace should you want some time to relax.
Alternatively, you could make the most of the 24 hour front desk and see if they would help you to arrange some fun activities for the following day. Based in Moyogalpa, you are only 9.3 miles from Altagracia and 14 miles from Volcano Maderas.

The views are second to none – dreamy, some might say. The Ometepe hotel prices are very impressive, especially considering that each room has its own bathroom and includes their legendary breakfast.

This area is renowned for walkers and cyclists so this could be something you plan for tomorrow. You can relax in a hammock on one of the many sun terraces whilst overlooking the stunning views of the volcano – Maderas is just 16km, so easily visible.
